Our client purchased this property on Stormont Road in Clapham, South West London, with the vision of turning it into their family home. A few changes had to be made to modernise and improve the living spaces.
Extensive structural work was required, including the removal of a chimney breast. High specification sound proofing was carried out to the floors and a corner pocket door system was installed to comply with fire separation building regulations. This was an alternative to a fire suppression system and created a unique design element.
We installed a traditional shaker style kitchen, finished with a quartz worktop, oak flooring, integrated with underfloor heating. A light colour scheme throughout helps to compliment the bespoke carpentry to match the Victorian Style.
